Behind Bars

The cold, gray walls confine you. Time stretches. Each day feels the last: a monotonous cycle punctuated by meals and patrols. Communication with the outside reality is severely curtailed. Despair becomes your constant companion. You search for purpose in this restricted existence.

You try to hold onto a sense of self. There are glimpses of humanity: a unexpectedly compassionate guard, a passing conversation with another prisoner, the seldom seen kindness of a friend. But prison these moments are fleeting, quickly swallowed by the harsh reality of being incarcerated.

The weight of your actions bears down you. Rehabilitation feel like distant, elusive aspirations. You contemplate if you'll ever truly escape, not just from the bars, but from the mental prison that trap you within.

Conviction Versus Consequence

A belief is a potent thing. It can fuel actions, ignite passions, and guide us toward our goals. However, each conviction carries with it an inherent burden. When Innocence Fades
